Schedule Report

Slice-and-dice reporting is an ideal way to track spending effectively. Reports customized to your needs will be delivered to your inbox as often as you choose. Use reports to analyze the cost per user, team, project, and resource type based on consumption.

The Schedule Report section provides a summary of all the reports that have been scheduled until now or those that can be scheduled. You can schedule reports for the following entities in CloudSpend:

Accounts

The Accounts report is scheduled as monthly by default. 

To schedule an Accounts report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Account Dashboard page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Accounts Dashboard dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select an account from the Accounts list.
  4. Select the required ReportFormat.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save to schedule the Accounts report.

Spend Analysis

The reporting from the spend analysis tab can be scheduled to deliver on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. 

To schedule a Spend Analysis report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Spend Analysis page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Spend Analysis dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Add a Display Name for the report.
  4. Select an account from the Accounts list.
  5. Select the required Report Format.
  6. Select the Frequency.
  7. Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  8. Click Save to schedule the Spend Analysis report.

Resource Explorer

A unique aspect of scheduling reports from the resource explorer section is that you get to choose the grouping criteria based on which the reports will be generated. The various grouping criteria are Region, Service, and Accounts. Reports can be delivered on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

To schedule a Resource Explorer report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Resource Explorer page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Resource Explorer dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select an account from the Accounts list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the applicable Group by Type.
  6. Select the Frequency.
  7. Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  8. Click Save to schedule the Resource Explorer report.

BU Spend Analysis

Schedule reports exclusively for Business Units (BU) with the spend analysis view. The reports can be scheduled to be delivered on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. 

To schedule a BU Spend Analysis  report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Business Units Spend Analysis page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Business Units Spend Analysis dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select the applicable Business Units.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save to schedule the BU Spend Analysis report.

BU Resource Explorer

A report scheduled from the BU Resource Explorer lets you group the reports according to the criterion you choose. The grouping criteria available are Region, Service, and Accounts. The reports can be scheduled to be delivered on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. 

To schedule a BU Resource Explorer report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Business Units Resource Explorer page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Business Units Resource Explorer dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select the applicable Business Units.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the applicable Group by Type.
  6. Select the Frequency.
  7. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  8. Click Save to schedule the BU Resource Explorer report.

BU Dashboard

Schedule reports exclusively for your BUs by choosing your respective BU from the drop-down. The default frequency for this report to be scheduled is monthly. 

To schedule a BU List report:

  1. Add a Display Name for the report.
  2. Select an AWS account.
  3. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  4. Click Save to schedule the BU List report.

Budget Dashboard

Budgets allow you to track actual spend against a desired amount. The Budget report is scheduled as daily by default.

To schedule a budget report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Budget Dashboard page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Budget Dashboard dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a budget from the Budget list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Budget Details View

The Budget Details View report is scheduled as monthly by default.

To schedule a Budget Details View report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Budget Details View page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Budget Details View dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a budget from the Budget list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Budget Alerts

The Budget Alerts report provides scheduled report on the alerts raised for the budget.

To schedule a Budget Alerts report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Budget Alerts page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Budget Alerts dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a budget from the Budget list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Budget History

The Budget History report is scheduled as monthly by default.

To schedule a Budget History report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Budget History page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Budget History dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a budget from the Budget list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Reports Dashboard

The auto-created report is scheduled monthly by default.

To schedule an auto-created report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Reports Dashboard page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Reports Dashboard dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a report from the Reports list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Reports Spend Analysis

Schedule reports exclusively for Reports with the spend analysis view. The reports can be scheduled to be delivered on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

To schedule a Reports Spend Analysis report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Reports Spend Analysis page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Reports Spend Analysis dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a report from the Reports list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the Frequency.
  6. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  7. Click Save.

Reports Resource Explorer

A report scheduled from the Reports Resource Explorer tab lets you group the reports according to the criterion you choose. The grouping criteria available are Region, Service, and Accounts. For Azure accounts, the grouping criteria includes Resource Group as well. The reports can be scheduled to be delivered on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

To schedule a Reports Resource Explorer report:

  1. Click Schedule Report in the Reports Resource Explorer page.
  2. In the Schedule Report - Reports Resource Explorer dialog box, add a Display Name for the report.
  3. Select a report from the Reports list.
  4. Select the required Report Format.
  5. Select the applicable Group by Type.
  6. Select the Frequency.
  7. Enter the email ID to which the report is to be delivered from the Email Report field.
  8. Click Save.
